Kefalonia is the largest island in the Ionian group and enjoys stunning landscapes from soaring mountains to lush pine forests and from fertile valleys to glorious beaches. Many of the beaches are of golden sand which shelve gently towards warm, sparkling waters, making them ideal for children. Other beaches on the island are of the shingle or white pebble variety, ideal for snorkelling.
